I woke up this morning to wish my lovely mother a happy birthday. Then, my host mom gave me a beautiful bracelet after breakfast. It was a great start to the day. I had class at noon, but decided to go to the IES Center early so I could finish up some reading. Everyone who walked in wished me a happy birthday, and my friend Janna even got me birthday candy (this delicious Chilean chocolate like KitKats called Super8, but it was like bite-sized and ball shaped)! After Spanish class, everyone sang me Happy Birthday in Spanish, and MariCarmen, the director of IES Santiago, gave me another present: a Hershey's-like chocolate bar with almonds.
I usually like low key birthdays but today was a great day!
Tonight, Janna has organized a fun outing! We're going to go to this restaurant/bar for a while, and then go to a discoteca to dance the night away! It should be fun and the perfect way to end my 21st birthday.
